I have a proposal. Last year, I was a hermit. There was too much mayhem and hullaballoo. I didn’t get to see you guys enough. I would like to make plans to remedy this for the upcoming school year. I would like to propose a once-a-month, potluck “Experimental Dinner” party. It would be open to ya’ll, whomever can make it on whatever date. We’d host it at our place (unless someone wants to host it instead at their place).

The “experimental” part comes in at the food planning stage, whomever is coming would agree to bring a new recipe. Something they haven’t tried before. Included is a standing agreement that we all would be fully open to ordering pizza if things went pear-shaped.

Does this sound appealing to anyone? I’ll put together a couple possible dates if so, and send out a Doodle request.

The next day we already had a date picked out.

Ok. Almost all have replied, and said yes to Saturday the 27th, at 5:30pm. I declare this the first Experimental Dinner Party date!

Huzzah!

B and I will host at our house. Please bring with you one new-to-you dish to try on the peeps. Experiment! Bring something you haven’t tried before. If you want to cook at our place, that’s cool, too. If you need a specific tool or accoutrement, give us a shout. We’ll let you know if we have it (we probably do). If you’d like to bring a beverage, feel free… but remember we have a well stocked liquor cabinet, too.

See you soon, friends!

Four and a half years later, EDP is still going strong!
